Living Intentional, Motherhood - Then and Now

You have permission…

       ….to rest.

 You have permission to rest.

You are not responsible for fixing everything that is broken.

You do not have to try and make everyone happy.

For now, take time for you.

Learn how to take time for you.

One day, all the chaos will be gone,

Amidst the silence, you will need to LOVE you.

I find it ironic that the day that I posted this was the last day of my 6 day vacation where I had made the choice to use those days to accomplish a few things and then reward myself and “Rest”. My goal was to enjoy my days at home, in my space, and just “live” my life. That evening I came down with a fever of 103.8, hello flu, and here I am 6 days later still holding at 100 fever after the majority of the time being at 101-102.

The best part of being a sick mom of older children is that you are actually allowed to be sick. They are old enough to help out and make their own meals, pick up after themselves, etc.

Kind of a nice change to know it’s ok to take the time to get the rest I need. But, I may never take a 6 day respite again! Back to Go Go Go for me! 🙂

Hope all stay healthy this winter. This flu is no joke.
